Reports are that the Senate immigration bill contains an interesting job provision requiring approval of the DHS for a JOB.
There is also a frightening run down of the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and some recent executive directive type documents that rearrange national emergency from FEMA to the DHS headed by the president at this blog. I suppose that's sorta needed if your gonna give FEMA to yur Polo buddies.
Meanwhile The IndependentIndependent reports our government continues the effort to raise the price of those cheap Chinese goods that we've all come to depend on, because you just can't buy some things (ahhemm, computers, I could live without all the plastic.) made in America these days.
